In late 2008 it was estimated that Cashback Sites had an aggregate membership of 2.5 million not all active of course. Savvy cashback users typically researched the best price then returned to their cashback site to see if they could earn their cashback. If they are members of several cashback sites then they would choose the site with best offer.

Cashback is most often used for home and car insurance where cashback might be up to £80. In general the public are far more aware of price comparison sites than cashback sites due to the extensive TV advertising.

Savvy users once again use the price comparison sites to find the best price and then make their purchase via their cashback sites. Research suggest that one in two UK adults is aware of the existence of Cashback sites, with nearly 2.5 million having made online purchases of goods or services in this way.

and
Join Quidco Here

My own personal experience is that many people are skeptical about Cashback when I explain to friends that for just by making a few extra clicks they earn save on nearly all their online purchases I just see a glazed look come over their faces.

Cash back is a type of rewards program offered by different shops, creditors, lenders, credit counseling agencies (generally Christian ones), and shopping centers and so on. The person in case of cash back offers receives a cash rebate on the amount charged on the card or any such offer cards. As the cost of living is rising, the importance and popularity of the cash back offers are increasing too. If you are in debt, and if you go for debt advice, the counselors may even ask you to pay off your mortgage and credit cards on time as you get rebates and cash backs on that. For that they may even ask you to improve your income and lower your expenditures if possible.

Cash back offers
There are various kinds of cash back offers and trends and there are in fact many companies that offer cash back.

Cash back scheme for tenants – The housing minister in UK is going to introduce a new Tenant Cashback scheme for the residents that will help them to control the budget on home repair. The tenants can also save the spare money from the Cashback offer. So, if you are a tenant you can start the repair work of the place you are living in rather than asking your landlord to do the same.

Cash back websites – There are several Cashback websites that provide various Cashback offers from well known companies like Avis, Cosmos Holidays, Comet, Walktall and so on. Cosmos Holidays is a well known company offering package holidays, discounts and special offers on travel costs.

Cash back credit cards – There are also Cashback credit card offers. The credit cards offer cash back on purchases made through their cards. Some of such cards are the Escape Card, the Cashplus Gold Mastercard, Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo Credit Card, Barclaycard and so on. The Cashback money comes from or are rather paid by the retailers. This is a form of advertising in order to popularize their companies in the market and amongst the people.

Cash back mortgages – There is yet another Cashback trend and this is the Cashback mortgage. In case of the Cashback mortgages the borrower is paid back a lump sum after he or she completes the payments on the mortgage. There are basically two ways in which the cash back mortgages are offered. One Cashback trend in mortgages is the one which is offered at the lenders standard variable rate, the cash back in this case can even be as high as 6% of the mortgage amount (the new one). The borrower can even choose to spend the cash in whatever way he or she may wish. The other trend is where the offer is made along with another type of mortgage.

So, you can see that cash back offers help you a lot in lowering your expenditures, saving money and motivating you to make on-time payments.

I’m a great fan of Cashback and love it when I can do a triple whammy; that means I get cashback for buying something, I pay with a cashback credit card (Tesco or Amex) and then get Nectar Points as well.

If you’ve got the time you can earn a small fortune in cashback by switching your insurances and energy sources and banks very 12 months or so AND get a better deal each time.

Cashback is developing evolving all the time everyone is after your dollar so you’ve got to make them pay!

The way I see it is that we are earning the commissions that previously were paid to those smarmy salesmen in expensive suits.
